Mini Yankee Candle Collection

Sooner or later I was going to end up writing a post related to Yankee Candles because who doesn't love a good candle that fills out the entire room or house with a gorgeous scent?  I'd like to think I've got a mini collection going on, although I would like to grow my collection more whenever I find a candle I really like (which seems to be most) I can't help myself but keep burning it until I've got less than a quarter left and then i'm thinking to myself that I have a real dilemma on my hands.

Even though this may be a super short talk, if candles are your thing and you're interested then please stay BUT! first go grab yourself a couple of your favourite biscuits and a cuppa :).

Cappuccino Truffle: I adore the scent from this candle so much as you can see I've already started burning it so sorry that it's not picture perfect but I just couldn't resist, so If you like coffee and chocolate then this is definitely your thing because they're mixed into one. However, the candle smells lovely when it's not lit, and when it is lit the fragrance it is very weak and not as strong as I thought It would be considering coffee has a strong, roasted intense smell.

Berry Trifle: This is one of the candles I got for Christmas of my boyfriend, he did good I must say +39487897 boyfriend points for Kyle. This candle has a very sharp but sweet scent but not sickly, it has a mixed smell of berries and vanilla. This candle is is perfect for anyone who likes the sweet and fruity scents like I do and it also burns like a treat; berry trifle infused room.

Christmas Cookie: As you can tell this is a Christmas edition candle which you can get every single year, also my ultimate favourite out of the 3 i've spoken about. This is defintely one of them candles that you pick up in the shop and your first reaction is 'ohhhh this smells so good', it smells that good you could eat it. As you can tell I really like the sweet scented candles and this so happens to be another sweet candle. It's described as Buttery Rich, Vanilla infused Holiday sugar cookies. When lit and not lit it smells really strong and vanilla-ry, it fills out the whole room and makes it smell absolutely divine, but not too sickly.

What are your favourite candle scents?

5 Reasons to be Happy/Positive

It's understandable for us to feel low from time to time, we have our good days and our bad days but if we didn't we wouldn't be human, it's normal. All you need is a little pick me up to put that smile right back on your face.

There are so many reasons for us to be happy about, but these are the ones that do the most justice for me and just make me appreciate everything I have in life.

  1. You're alive: You only get one life, everyone says make the most of it and it's true. You can do anything you want too because there's a big world out there with so many activities, food, jobs and places to discover. I always ask myself, why would you want to stay in the same place your whole life?
  2. Goals and Dreams: I'm highly positive that we all have them things we want to achieve. I know sometimes you may discover hurdles but you can always find a way to make things work, if that's what you truly want don't keep putting it off, go for it. There's nothing truly stopping you from doing it, you just have to try a little harder. But it doesn't always have to be the biggest thing that needs a lot of thought, it can be anything from cleaning your room that day or your dream career.
  3. Internet Friends: I don't know about you but internet friends are one of my favourite things. Even though you've never met them, you obviously know they're real and not a catfish because that's just obvious. But they have your back and I've always found they're always there for you if you need someone to talk to. They always seem to be the friendliest too. I think it's pretty great when you finally arrange to meet up and you have a super cute day out, take lots of pictures and have plenty of fun.
  4.  Puppies/kittens:  For me, pug puppies make my heart melt. It's a daily routine to scroll through cute animal pictures in general but always find myself looking at baby pugs. The best thing about puppies and kittens is that you can have them as a pet and they'll always love you, for life. If you're feeling down or lonely you can just seek your pet and have a lil cuddle and a kiss or a chit chat and you're instantly happy again.
  5. Someone loves you: Now I know i'll always be right on this, because you'll always be appreciated and important to someone; whether it's your partner, parents, siblings, family, pets and best friends. We all have them people we'd take a bullet for and i'm pretty sure they'd do the same for you because these are the people we share some of the best memories with.

What are the things that make you happy?

Simple Skincare Routine for Sensitive Skin

Now I'm no expert when it comes down to skin care, I actually have a lot to learn myself when it involves looking after my skin, but I get the gist on the basics. This post is purely just to share the products that I use that work best with my skin type at the moment.

All these products are from the brand Simple, and they are a Drugstore favourite for a lot of people as they claim to be sensitive skincare  experts.
The products that I am currently using are the Moisturising Facial wash (£3.39), Purifying Cleansing Lotion (£3.29), Deep Cleansing Face Mask (£3.99) and the Cleansing Facial Wipes (£3.25 for a pack of 25).

Moisturising Facial Wash - The face wash is to keep your skin thoroughly cleansed and nourished. It contains 2 vital vitamins that gives your skin the nourishment it needs; B5 which restores, softens and smoothes & Vitamin E which gives a hydrated feel. It also has 1 skin 'loving' nutrient; Bisabolol which helps to soothe and calm your skin. From what I have experienced with this product is that it helps my skin feel really clean and hydrating, it makes me feel like it gets rid of  the last bits of dirt after I've removed any makeup but also gives me a refreshing wake me up in the morning. My skin always feels super smooth too, as smooth as a baby's bottom!

Purifying Cleansing Lotion - Simple's puryfying cleansing lotion is for gently cleansing dry skin types so it smooths and softens the surface. However this product only contains 1 vital vitamin which is B5 and 2 'loving' nutrients; Bisabolol and Allantoin which softens and protects your skin! Now, because I am being honest with all of you, my experience has been quiet a love hate relationship with this one. It does all the above, cleanses my skin and removes any makeup and dirt on my skin BUT it's been causing my skin to break out at times when It never normally does, even though it's specifically been made for sensitive skin. I'm unsure if I am supposed to carry on using it and eventually it will do some justice for my skin or if i'm actually allergic to an ingredient, who knows (I need some serious skincare advice and guidance as you can tell haha).

Deep Cleansing Face Mask - The face mask is supposed to draw out the deep dirt from your pores and eliminate dead skin cells. It contains the 2 vital vitamins B5 and Vitamin E. So I have been told to believe that it also contains natural clay to detoxify and purify, & extracts of seaweed which helps to cleanse. From what I have experienced the only difference I have noticed is that my skins feels super hydrated, smooth and clean but I have noticed any difference with my blackheads. I do love a good face mask pamper night though.

Cleansing Facial Wipes - The cleansing facial wipes are to give an extra boost of cleansing and vitamins but they also tone your skin at the same time. The contain B5 and just all round make you feel refreshed. I've been using these wipes for a very long time now and I really just like them to be honest. I only use them to take off my makeup but I really do adore them.

Morning routine
First things first, I cleanse my face by using the cleansing lotion with a cotton pad to remove any dirt that my skin has collected during the night, you'll be surprised how quickly your face can pick up dirt, well with my skin anyway. I then go and splash my face with some water to help wake me up and I use the face wash on wet/damp skin and massage it into my face until it lathers up slightly and then I can go and rinse it off, and i'll then pat my face dry with a towel. Lastly, after my face has been patted dry I will re-hydrate my face with the simple moisturiser which works wonders by the way! After I have completed my morning skincare routine I am ready to take on the day!

Night time routine
This time I will remove my makeup in between 8 and 9pm using the cleansing facial wipes, I'll then use the cleansing lotion with a cotton pad again, to remove any leftover makeup that I've missed and any other dirt if there is any. Then it's time to use the facial wash to make me feel a little more refreshed (is it just me at this stage that feels like I've accomplished loads by simply just removing my makeup? I guess I just really like that clean feeling afterwards). Once or twice a week i'll use the face mask to give my skin a deeper cleanse and give my skin a little more TLC as I tend to get really dry patches on my face, i'll then just rise this off with water, pat dry with a towel and finish off by moisturising my face.

Overall I really recommend these products as they do clean your skin, pours and removes any makeup or dirt etc. But I think i'll have to invest in their exfoliating facial scrub to see if that clears up my black heads and finally gives me that 'flawless, porcelain look' (I probably should have already done that though, oops).

Marc Jacobs 'Decadence' Review

Marc Jacobs Fragrances have always been a favourite of mine especially his light floral scents that are perfect for around summer and spring time. As a lot of you may already know the floral scents everybody raved about and got a lot of recognition, which is why I was really intrigued as to what this new fragrance smelt like because they'd gone for a completely different image with the bottle unlike the usual pretty pastel flower bottle top. Decadence is his first ever 'mature' scent and his been made to be sexy and sophisticated.

The bottle has been designed in a way that it replicates one of his handbags with python pattern, gold chain and a black tassel. The bottle design is a supposed to be a symbol of opulence and glamour.

Decadence is a sensual, luxurious, woody fragrance that opens with sultry top notes of Italian plum, saffron and iris. The heart of the perfume is formed by Bulgarian rose, Sambac jasmine and orris root. And the base includes warm liquid amber, vetiver and papyrus wood.

This fragrance is a perfect option for nights out or for an evening event, however I wear this fragrance whenever I feel like a quick spritz because why not?

I actually got this Perfume as a gift for Christmas by my mum so I will link the cheapest price you can get it for all sizes available below, although this fragrance is more on the pricey side than usual.

From boots:
30ml - £48
50ml - £58
100ml - £86

What fragrances are your favourite?

Don't forget you can find me in all these places too!
